Kifampa Church of Uganda Primary School

Since the promotional term had just opened up we engaged our power girls in Africa child primary school, Kifampa village school church of Uganda on positive mindset activities and change to boost their moral and focus on books for excellence and build their confidence, self-esteem, these girls had been from holidays from wherever they had been so this acted as an ice break engagement. We received tremendous number of girls during this term engagement.

Activities

Girl child confidence building to express themselves efficiently towards issues pressing them in the community so as to fight imbalances and social injustices, this we realized its important and crucial for their emotional, social , and academic development , we encouraged this through encouraging positive self- talk, praise effort , not just results. Focus on strengths not weakness, help them reframe negative thoughts.

Promote self-expression, through support individuality and uniqueness, listening to their thoughts and opinions, encourage creative activities e.g. writing, art.

Foster a growth mindset, emphasize learning from failures, encouraging experimentation and exploration, and teach problem solving skills.

Developing resilience of these young girls, we taught them coping skills for dealing with criticism, we encouraged perseverance and grit, we had role play scenarios to build confidence.

We nurture physical and emotional well-being, we encouraged physical activities and exercise. We also taught health habits e.g. Nutrition, sleep and hygiene. We also discussed emotional intelligence and empathy,

Be a positive role model, through demonstrating confidence and self-acceptance, share personal struggle and success, we encouraged them to show interest in their lives and passion.
