Sometime back, I used to stay in some slum area around Kampala. There was a family on my neighborhood. This family was composed of a mother who had two girls and a boy plus a father who was involved in a terrible accident and was left crippled and unable to do anything by his own leaving all the family responsibilities to the mother. I used to watch this woman struggling for provision, school fees etc. This woman used to ride a bicycle every morning to kampala city to look for survival and the situation was really terrible on her side and the entire family. This really triggered me, and I started thinking how I could help this family out with the little I had. I started helping them out through buying them some small things like sugar, bread and some posho. I started losing peace whenever I could see this woman suffering with the kids like a single mother cause her husband was crippled. I wouldn’t sit and watch them suffering when the children are lacking out on school fees and other basic needs of life. I since then joined GID Africa to make a difference in our country Uganda and the entire Africa. Blessed are the hands that giveth than the hands that receiveth. In this I came to realize that giving please GOD more than receiving. With your support too, we can put a smile on their faces and bring back hope, to the suffering single mothers and teenage mothers in Africa!
