GID AFRICA

GID Africa is a fully registered non profitable community based organization (CBO) Reg. No LUB/24/021 in Uganda positively influencing the girl child’s future and women in one way or another since 2022.
“Make Her Vibrant”! As our purpose, we make a positive impact on the less privileged, vulnerable, needy girls and women in different communities by delivering a better living for them with the support of generous partners, organizations, sponsors, donors and individuals.
    GID Africa is initially working in Kampala slum areas on issues of menstrual health in it’s early stages.
We’ve been able to engage the young Girls more especially in post primary and secondary school students on certain issues like;

> Giving out free sanitary pads to adolescent girls.
> Teaching adolescent girls on how to make & use reusable sanitary towels.
> Construction of toilet facilities with changing rooms for girls in school to improve on sanitation.
> Purchase and install water tanks in target schools, to improve water supply and sanitation for the benefit of girls.
> Carry out counseling sessions in schools on key topics including; HIV Aids and drug abuse.
> Facilitate school motivational events by music artists, politicians, foot ballers and role models. We believe that menstrual health, primary health care & proper hygiene is a basic right to any girl and we are here to Make Her Vibrant with the little we can do and not waiting for the government to do all.

What We Do

  • Fundraise for needy girls’ scholastic materials and school fees for a girl child justice to education to be served for girlchild empowerment and better nation from the congregation through prayer, financial assistance and in kind.
  • Raising Temporary financial support to Girl impact dynamic Africa women groups. assistance food and welfare.
  • We help to rehabilitate and amend the broken hearts of girls and women of girl impact dynamic Africa with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Hope is rekindled in girls and women through the word of our father Jesus Christ. Through sharing from scripture reading, interactive bible study and bible study bible quiz games.
  • Spiritual support to strengthen the soul of gid Africa members to know and trust GOD. RAISING their patience levels.
  • Lobbing from different other sister churches for girl impact dynamic needy members, e.g. antenatal services and materials, sanitary towels for girls and women.
  • Running campaigns for fundraising scholastic materials, right to education for every girl, HIV aids girls and women rehabilitation programs through advices, sexual health programs. rehabilitation of pregnant and traumatized young women and girls spiritually, socially and financially through church.

Who We Are

Gid Africa has sensitized and enlightened the community on their basic fundamental rights such as land rights, women rights, child rights and political rights by undertaking civic education campaigns through workshops, theatre performances and radio program

GID Africa has been supporting bright children from poor families especially girls to undertake their education.  It has secured scholarships for over twenty students to in St Claire primary school, thirty in high school and over 11 in elementary school.

It has successfully constructed a cultural resource center for education purposes. SEUSEU (Self Education & Understanding for Sound Environmental Utilization) contain a museum and arboretum and is used as an eco-tourism facility which generates income for the community project.
